Why Take Advice from a Dad with a Dad Bod?

Let's just get this out of the way. I don't have a six pack. I don't work out every day. And I love snacks at night just as much as the rest of you. So who am I to start a personalized nutrition company?

The good news is that I am actually educated in this area. I have a degree from Arizona State University in Nutrition. I am also someone who survived open heart surgery at a young age. Oh, and did I mention that I like snacks? I promise, that matters.

In short, my biggest complaint about all the nutritional information found out there focuses on food as weight, rather than energy. And it all seems to go downhill from there.

Food is fuel. Period.

And every individual has different fuel requirements just like cars. Some need high octane because they are athletes, top performers, or high functioning individuals. Some require low-grade efficient octane because they are more sedentary in nature, in the later years of life, or they simply live a more leisurely lifestyle.

I believe that creating nutrition plans that focus on the right fuel (macronutrients,) AND the right oil (micronutrients,) you can live a healthier, happier life, and that type of therapy pays dividends both immediately (there's a direct correlation to health and wealth) and long-term (generational health is both cost and life saving.)
